Launch of Cork Heritage Open Day at Riverstown House in Glanmire

Cork Heritage Open Day which is organised by Cork City Council in partnership with the Heritage Council, is a wonderful celebration of the built heritage in the city. Cork Heritage Open Day marks the start of Heritage Week which runs from August 14 to August 23rd in Ireland.

At Lunasa PR we have project managed all of Cork Heritage Open Day and have created all the content- text and video for the website www.corkheritageopenday.ie

The website goes live on Saturday August 14 and you can view over 45 guided tours of buildings in the city, enjoy guided tours of natural heritage sites in Cork, hear interviews with local historians and watch wonderful archival footage of Cork in times gone past.

A selection of the buildings featured on the website include Riverstown House in Glanmire, the Quaker Meeting House and Graveyard, The Maryborough Hotel, Cork Opera House, The Courthouse on Washington Street, Ballincollig Gunpowder Mills, Blarney Castle, Cork City Hall, Cork Savings Bank, St Luke’s Church and Military Museum, Collins Barracks and Cork’s 96FM Broadcasting House.
